Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January 1986) is an English lingerie and catwalk model, and television model and TV. In 2006, she was runner-up in the British Next Top Model cycle 2. She also took home the series 11 and 12 on Strictly Come Dancing 2013. Since 2015, she has been Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy is the second of four children of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy and Geoff Thomas Clancy was born in Liverpool. She was born in Woolton which is a region of Liverpool. She was a student at St Mary's Primary School, as well as St Julie's Catholic High school. Clancy was a part of the girl group Genie Queen. They were managed by Andy McCluskey at Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was among the 13 finalists in Living TV's Britain’s Next Top Model, which included her competing for 10 weeks for a contract as a model. Clancy together with another contestant Lianna Foller, made it to the finale runway show. Clancy eventually became the runner up. Clancy was the first model to be featured on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike and was on the cover for Arena magazine in May 2007. Clancy was selected for Sports Illustrated's 2010 swimsuit issue. Clancy was featured for her sporting connection to Peter Crouch and was photographed for the magazine wearing just body paint to make it appear as if she was sporting the England shirt, photographed by Yu Tsai. Clancy was featured in a campaign for Umbro sportswear, modelling an England shirt, along with other wives of footballers and girlfriends from countries that have won the World Cup. Clancy walked with the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011, collection. Clancy also appeared on Elite Model Management: New York division's website in March 2011. She was a part of London designer Hasan Hejazi’s campaign in July 2013. The editorial was created by Absynth Photographyic. The fashion film was by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also on the August 2011 UK Esquire cover, photographed by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy together with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was included in LOVE magazine’s December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy made her debut on the cover British Marie Claire's July 2014 issue as well as British Elle's March issue. Abbey Clancy was joined by her daughter Sophia Crouch and Lipsy, a London-based fashion designer, to launch of their AW'19 collections. In January 2020, the AW'19 collection was launched in UAE.
