Abi Clarke
In the past,
i.e. Early 2020. In the past, comedians may have expected to play across the UK
for many years before being invited to a TV panel and then selling an arena
tour. This isn't the case right now. Comedy is a form of art which has managed
to remain performed front of a live crowd, but we'll not have arena tours any
time in the near future. But one Bristol comedian has gained a large following
via the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke never set out to become an internet-star.
The 24-year-old who lives in Hen bury with her parents, first started making
online videos "to gain a following of like-minded individuals who would
enjoy my stand-up comedy. "I was performing a lot in Devon to guys older
than 50 who were not as enthusiastic about my Love Island Sims and Twilight
references, so it was the right time to get online and find other young women
who would like my stand-up comic." Abi, who lives in Hen bury with her
parents continues to upload her videos to Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok. She
gets inspiration from many sources, such as conversations with strangers, chat
room, and writes down everything she thinks on her smartphone.
